One of my favorite words is perseverance. There are hundreds of quotes about perseverance, but my favorite isn’t actually a quote; it’s the definition: Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

Does that say it well or what? Also, from the very start is another great word, persistence. The concepts that these two words represent are buried in the heart of every great motivational speech, every memorable commencement speech, and in the locker room before every important sports competition.

Success is falling nine times and getting up ten. -Jon Bon Jovi

Don’t you dare stay down!

The greatest component that these two words produce is in another strong word that starts with ‘P’, and that’s POWER. When you’re successful, you have the power, not to lord over people, but to do good things for others. You’re able to be an example for others to follow and your success can be shared and passed onto the next generation.

Don’t forget to be thankful for what you’ve got.

Now that you’re busy enjoying the fruits of your labor, don’t forget to be and express thankfulness. Get involved in philanthropy, find other ways to give back, support underprivileged youth, or help fight to end childhood cancer! And yes, I’m still riding and raising funds!

All funds raised will support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund to continue their work to develop treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer. Click on the icon below for more details:
